Deep Down Wines was founded by two New Zealand wine stalwarts: Clive Dougall, winemaker at Seresin for more than a decade; and Peter Lorimer, longtime veteran on the export and marketing side of things. Rallying their combined knowledge, the two focus on small-production cuvées from organic, biodynamic, and sustainable/responsibly-farmed vineyards. Crafting around 3,000 cases per year, production is small enough that quality can be kept high, but large enough to provide excellent value.
