Scott Base | Marlborough

Category:

Allan Scott is most famous for being the first person to plant Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough, establishing what would become the signature varietal for a region that was on the verge of capturing the wine world’s attention. Decades later, Scott Base was founded with Allan’s son Josh. The main Scott Base line focuses on what’s become traditional Kiwi wine: Sauvignon from Marlborough and Pinot Noir from the Scott family’s vineyards in Central Otago. Josh Scott’s own label is more experimental, with skin-contact whites and orange-rosés.
