Set on large spreads of highly sandy terroir in Jumilla, the Olivares family vineyards are unique. The sandy soil is inhospitable to phylloxera, so there are ungrafted vines dating to 1872 that thrive among the newer plantings. Unirrigated, bush-pruned, and organically managed, these vines yield some of the best values anywhere in the wine world.
