Division Winemaking Company is a Portland-based urban winery founded in 2010 by Kate Norris and Thomas Monroe. Inspiration for their wines comes from the Loire, Beaujolais, Burgundy, and the Northern Rhône (where Tom and Kate first learned winemaking and viticulture). But the wines are firmly grounded in the distinctive terroir of the Pacific Northwest: the Willamette Valley, Southern Oregon, and the Columbia Valley. The wines are crafted with minimal manipulation, allowing the vineyards’ well- farmed, terroir-expressive character to shine through. Division Winemaking Company includes the main Division wines, Gamine, and the fun, somewhat more experimental Division-Villages cuvées.
