Since 1860, five generations of De Forvilles have farmed their 11 hectare estate in Barbaresco. The vines are managed organically and mainly by hand, with the exception of regular plowing in the rows. Fermentations take place in stainless steel and aging in large neutral botti, and the resulting wines are marked by lovely elegance and finesse, rather than being towering monuments to Nebbiolo’s more muscular side.
