Maria Ernesta Berucci’s family has raised vines in Piglio for generations. Most of those vineyards are used in a project of her father’s, but 2.5 hectares of the oldest vines belong to Maria. Together with her brother and fiancé, Maria has converted the sites to organic and agro-homeopathic viticulture, to being out the best in the rocky limestone soil, and shepherd the Passerina and Cesanese vines to bring out their depths of flavor and character.
