California Wine Dinner at Wild Standard

Thursday, December 7th 6:30p

The Menu:

Roasted Red Beet Arancini: chevre, fennel-herb salad, toasted marcona almonds
Paired with Shebang! White IV

Seared Scallop: Roasted Butternut Squash, bacon, creme fraiche, chives
Paired with Lioco Estero Russian River Chardonnay 2015

Slow Roasted Buckner Ranch Pork Shoulder: kiln-dried cherries, port wine reduction
Paired with Bucklin Wine, Old Hill Ranch Vineyard "Bambino" Zinfandel 2014

Petit Pepper-Crusted Filet: roasted cauliflower puree, tapenade hollandaise, crispy onions
Paired with Hardin Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Starksimmon Pear: poached in White Wine vanilla, cinnamon, puff pastry, chantilly
Paired with Birichino Petulant Naturel Malvasia Bianca Monterey 2016

The Napa Valley and Sonoma were devastated recently by the Nun’s Fire, as it ripped through town after town, burning down homes, wineries and the vineyards in its path. This happened during their peak tourist season too, further impacting their revenue flow. The full effects of these fires is still to be determined, but in the meantime, we must do what we can to buy California wines and drink California wines. It is in that vein that we celebrate California with a special wine dinner featuring wineries from that area.

$75.00 per person not including tax and gratuity
