After spending time studying and making wine in Burgundy, Beaujolais, and the Northern Rhône, Kate and Tom Monroe decided to settle down in Portland and start both Division and the Southeast Wine Collective (Portland’s first urban winery). Grapes are sourced mainly from LIVE-certified (sustainable) and some biodynamically-farmed vineyards, and winemaking follows a light-touch, non-interventionist blueprint.
